Privacy notice

This notice is given under Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

When you visit the site

To deliver the pages, our hosting provider Cloudflare receives the technical data that every browser sends: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. It uses this data only to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not analyse it, combine it with other data or use it to identify visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare keeps this data only as long as these purposes require.

When you write to us

The contact form runs entirely in your browser. It only opens your own email app with a message ready to send. The site sends nothing and stores nothing. If you then email us, we receive what the message contains: usually your name, organisation, role, email address and whatever you write.

We use it to answer your request and follow up on it. The legal basis is taking steps you asked for before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in replying to messages (Article 6(1)(f)). Our mailbox is hosted by Aruba S.p.A. in Italy, and the four cofounders of Pelennor can read it. We keep your messages for as long as the conversation is relevant, and for no more than 24 months after our last contact, unless it leads to an agreement that requires keeping them longer.

Cookies and third parties

This site sets no cookies and uses no similar browser storage, so there is no cookie banner. It has no analytics, advertising or embedded content, and its fonts are served from this site. The links to LinkedIn and X take you to those services, where their own privacy policies apply.

Who processes the data for us

• Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers the site under its data processing agreement. Cloudflare may process data outside the EU, including in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Aruba S.p.A. provides our email service in Italy.

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing, and we make no automated decisions about you.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the regulation, you can ask us to:

• give you access to your data;
• correct or erase it;
• restrict how we process it;
• receive it in a portable format.

You can also object to processing that relies on our legitimate interest. To do any of this, write to info@pelennor.eu.

You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
